SUMMERBELL (Sunderland)To ask the President of the Local Government Board as to whether his attention has been called to the difficulty of obtaining certificates of exemption from vaccination in the Oxford City Court; and, if so, whether he intends to 952 issue an instruction in regard to the same.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) I beg to reply to this Question on behalf of my right hon. friend. My attention has not been called to any such cases at Oxford, and I have no authority to give instructions to the justices. A circular is, however, about to be issued setting out what, I am advised, is the intention of the law respecting the grant of certificates of exemption.
