HC Deb 07 May 1906 vol 156 cc980-1
MR. MACLEAN (Bath)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the results in connection with what are known as one man companies, he will take into consideration the advisability of introducing legislation at an early date, in order to stop or mitigate this abuse of the law relating to limited companies.

MR. LLOYD-GEORGE

I am expecting to receive very shortly the Report of the Departmental Committee appointed to enquire what amendments are required in the Companies Acts. When I have received the Report the subject of the amendment of the Company Laws generally will have my consideration, including, of course, the point referred to in the Question.
