HC Deb 07 May 1906 vol 156 c997
MR. VINCENT KENNEDY (Cavan, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have received an application for reinstatement and a resolution from the Derrylin Branch of the United Irish League on behalf of Patrick M'Avinne, an evicted tenant who was evicted from his farm in Mullaghduff, now held by Timothy Murphy at a rent of £20, Patrick M'Avinne's rent having been £33 11s. 5d.; and, if so, whether, in view of the fact that this man was evicted for non-payment of one year of heavy rack rent, and the sufferings of himself and his family, especial attention will be given to his case.

MR. BRYCE

The Estates Commissioners inform me that they have received the application and resolution referred to, and will duly inquire into and consider the application.
