HC Deb 07 May 1906 vol 156 c949
MR. NIELD (Middlesex, Ealing)

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether, in view of the superior armament of contemporary cruisers of other Powers, and of the failure of six-inch gun fire to effect any material damage in the battle of the Sea of Japan, it is intended to strengthen the armament of the ten cruisers of the county class.

(Answered by Mr. Edmund Robertson.) In view of the cost involved it is not proposed to make any change at the present time.
