HC Deb 03 May 1906 vol 156 c686
COLONEL LONG (Worcestershire, Evesham)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can state the total amount raised during 1905 from licences taken out for motor vehicles of all descriptions, including motor cycles.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) The duties paid on motor cycles are not distinguished in the Returns for 1905 from those paid on other two-wheeled vehicles (though they will be in future). But on motor vehicles of all other descriptions the total of the duties collected in 1905 amounted to £61,967.
