§ MR. LONSDALE (Armagh, Mid.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether it is intended to appoint a Commission of Inquiry into the subject of afforestation in Ireland.
MR. BRYCEAn Advisory Committee on Forestry has already been appointed by the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction at the instance of the Council of Agriculture. I am con- 736 sidering the question whether it may not be desirable to institute a further inquiry into the subject, but I am not at present prepared to make any definite statement on the matter.
