HC Deb 02 May 1906 vol 156 c544
COLONEL LEGGE (St. George's, Hanover Square)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he can see his way to allowing the cavalry to revert to the old pattern forage cap for walking out in now that a khaki cap has been issued for parades.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The question of reverting to the old pattern forage cap for cavalry was fully considered when the introduction of the new peaked cap was under discussion. The new pattern peaked cap will be issued for walking out purposes when the stock of the present pattern is exhausted.
