HC Deb 29 March 1906 vol 154 c1527
MR. MACPHERSON (Preston)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is aware that certain armour-plate makers in the Sheffield district, engaged upon Government work, are at the present time paying less than the recognised trade union rates, particularly in the melting department; and what action he proposes to take.

No complaints have been received on this point.

MR. MACPHERSON

If I supply the right hon. Gentleman with information privately will he inquire into it?

MR. EDMUND ROBERTSON

Undoubtedly, Sir.
