HC Deb 27 March 1906 vol 154 c1051
SIR CARNE RASCH (Essex, Chelmsford)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether the weights and scales for letters and parcels in the post offices are tested from time to time by duly qualified inspectors.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) Post office weights and scales are not liable to inspection under the Weights and Measures Acts; but they are tested from time to time by officers of the department.
