HC Deb 26 March 1906 vol 154 cc964-5

Order read, for resuming adjourned debate on Question (March 26th), "That the Bill be now road a second time."

Question again proposed.

MR. CLAUDE HAY (Shoreditch, Hoxton)

thought that the House of Commons should be informed as to the contents of the Bill. The measure was supposed to be an innocuous one, but it affected the rights of the public. The Bill by reference included certain other Acts of Parliament.

MR. SYDNEY BUXTON

said the Bill simply extended the provisions of the Money Orders Act, 1880 and 1883, to all British protectorates and to certain foreign countries.

Question put, and agreed to. Bill read a second time, and committed for tomorrow.
