HC Deb 22 March 1906 vol 154 c619
MR. ASHLEY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Turkish garrisons have been reinforced at points near the Sinai Peninsula, now the subject of negotiations between the Egyptian Government and the Sublime Porte; and, if so, do His Majesty's Government propose to take any action in the matter.

SIR EDWARD GREY

His Majesty's Government have no information as to the despatch of reinforcements to the posts now occupied by Turkish troops in the Sinai Peninsula. According to the latest information in their possession there are three battalions at Akaba.
