HC Deb 22 March 1906 vol 154 c596
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is now in a position to state what decision has been arrived at by the Committee appointed by the Treasury, early in 1905, to consider the question of accommodation in the library buildings, Dublin, now under the control of the Department of Agriculture; and whether he is aware of the increasing demand for accommodation, seeing that a great number of publications have been acquired during recent years, and that the usefulness of the library is shown by the increase in the daily average of attendances, from 528 in 1899 to 677 in 1905.

(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) The decision of the Committee cannot be explained within the limits of an Answer to a Question, but I shall be happy to give the hon. Member what information I can if he will communicate with me in writing. The facts stated in the second part of the Question are correct.
