To ask the Secretary for Scotland if he will state the average aggregate number of prisoners detained in all Scottish prisons during each of the last three years.

Year ended. Ordinary prisoners and forfeited and revoked licence-holders. Convicts. New sentences of penal servitude and sentences to death. Lunatics for detention in criminal lunatic department. Inebriates. Total of all classes.
