§ MR. CHARLES CRAIG (Antrim, S.)
I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the house of Michael Allen, at Aglish, Killarney, was entered by a band of disguised and armed men, and a gun and other articles taken and whether the police have made any arrests in connection with this matter.
I am informed by the police authorities that a complaint to the effect stated has been made to the local police, but it was not alleged that any 388 article except a gun was taken. The police have fully investigated the matter, but have not so far obtained sufficient evidence to justify them in making any arrests.
§ MR. FLAVIN
Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that at the last Assize the Judge congratulated the Grand Jury on the peaceable condition of this country?
