HC Deb 20 March 1906 vol 154 c226
MR. BOLAND

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state the cause of the delay on the part of the Estates Commissioners in sanctioning the sale of the Warden estate, at Sneem, county Kerry; whether it is intended that the townlands of Druminamore, Druminabeg, and the village of Sneem, will be included in the sale; and whether, in carrying out improvements on the estate, the Commissioners will make a new road at Dereen-avarrig, to which the attention of the Congested Districts Board has been frequently called in past years.

MR. BRYCE

The Estates Commissioners are negotiating with the owners for the purchase of the estate mentioned, but the completion of the purchase is awaiting the decision of the Judicial Commissioners upon a point of law which has been raised. The proposed purchase does not include the townlands of Druminamore, Druminabeg, or the village of Sneem. If the Commissioners should purchase the property, they will consider the question of making the new road referred to.
