HC Deb 20 March 1906 vol 154 c210
MR. BARKER (Penrhyn and Falmouth)

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he is aware that prosecutions continue to be taken against persons holding conscientious objections to the Education Bill of the late Government; and whether he will cause steps to be taken to stop further prosecutions, pending the introduction of the Education Bill of the Government.

(Answered by Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman.) I am aware of the fact that prosecutions continue to be brought against persons holding conscientious objections to the Education Act of 1902, and I much regret it; but I do not see how the Government can interfere in the matter pending the introduction of the Education Bill.
