HC Deb 20 March 1906 vol 154 c218
MR. PARKER (Halfax)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been called to the number of working hours, ranging from fourteen to sixteen hours per day, worked by asylum attendants, and the percentage of these attendants who ultimately suffer from lunacy; and whether he is prepared to cause an inquiry to be made into the subject.

* MR. GLADSTONE

My attention has not been called to this matter, but I will cause inquiry to be made from the Lunacy Commissioners.
