HC Deb 20 March 1906 vol 154 cc232-3
MR. JOHN REDMOND

I wish to ask you, Sir, a Question on a matter of order. I wish to ask you whether I would be in order in addressing the following Question to the Leader of the Opposition:— "Whether he would consent now to the publication of the correspondence which took place between him as Prime Minister and Lord Dudley as Viceroy of Ireland, on the question of devolution?"

* MR. SPEAKER

The Question addressed to the Leader of the Opposition by the hon. Member does not relate to any matter or any Bill before this House. I should like to have seen the Question in writing so that I might have given it full consideration, but, having heard it, I should say that it is not a Question that could be asked.

MR. JOHN REDMOND

Perhaps the right hon. Gentleman will take cognisance of the Question which, if it had been in order, I would have addressed to him.
