MR. SPEAKER

The Ayes have it.

MR. WILLIAM RUTHERFORD

May I ask, Sir, if it is not competent for anyone who thinks it injudicious that a Return of this character should be granted, to object?

MR. SPEAKER

The granting of a Return is a matter which rests with the Department concerned. If the Department agrees it is an unopposed Return.

Return ordered, "showing the Fleets of Great Britain, France, Russia, Germany, Italy, United States of America, and Japan, on the 31st day of March, 1906, distinguishing battleships, built and building; cruisers, built and building; coast defence vessels, built and building; torpedo vessels, torpedo boat destroyers, torpedo boats, and submarines, built and building."

"Return to show date of launch, displacement, and armaments reduced to one common scale (in continuation of Parliamentary Paper, No. 96, of Session 1905)."— (Sir Charles Dilke.)
