SMEATON (Stirlingshire)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he will consider the advisability of placing the salary of the Secretary of State for India on the Estimates, so as to enable this House to challenge by a direct vote any action of the Government of India, or of the Secretary of State, of which it disapproves.
