HC Deb 19 March 1906 vol 154 c89
MR. LAMONT

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland when the Fishery Board for Scotland expect to conclude their investigations into the causes of the failure, for the last three years, of the herring fishery in the Firth of Clyde; and whether a Report will be issued embodying the resulting recommendations, if any.

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Mr. SINCLAIR,) Forfarshire

The herring fishing in 1903 was above the average. No special report is contemplated. The investigations in regard to the migration of herrings in the Clyde area are being conducted by the scientific department of the Fishery Board, and a report of their work is included in the Annual Report.
