§ MR. CARLILE (Hertfordshire, St. Albans)To ask the Secretary of State for War with reference to the reorganisation of military commands and staff in the United Kingdom, as set forth in the special Army order of January 6th, 1905, whether the general officers commanding-in-chief furnished a Report on the working of the system; if so, what is the general opinion expressed therein regarding the grouping of the regimental districts and the establishing of infantry record offices; and will the Reports be placed upon the Table of the House.

The information contained in them is confidential, and I am not, therefore, in a position either to give the hon. Member the information he requires or to lay the Reports upon the Table.
