MR. HERBERT (Buckinghamshire, Wycombe)To ask the First Commissioner of Works whether plans have for some time been in existence, and approved by the Board of Works, for the construction of an additional Chancery Court at the Royal Courts of Justice; and if so, whether, having regard to the fact that there are now six judges of the Chancery Division and only five courts for them to sit in, it is proposed at an early day to provide the court required.
(Answered by Mr. Harcourt.) The plans referred to are in existence, having been prepared by the Office of Works some years ago. The late Attorney-General, in answer to a Question on May 8th, 1902, stated that he † believed any existing difficulties of accommodation might be solved by a re-arrangement of the judges' circuits.
