HC Deb 15 March 1906 vol 153 cc1395-6
MR. PEARCE (Tower Hamlets, Lime-house)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, having regard to the increasing employment of alcohol in chemical industry, he will take steps, during the present session, to free British manufacturers using alcohol from the disadvantage they now suffer compared with their foreign competitors.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) The matter is under consideration, and I hope to be able to introduce legislation at an early date.
