HC Deb 14 March 1906 vol 153 c1232
MR. THORNE

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the fact that a woman has been receiving 2½d. per hour for making soldiers' trousers, from a contractor doing work for the War Office; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) No trace of the receipt of such a complaint can be found in the War Office. I shall be obliged if my hon. friend will furnish me with particulars of the case in question.
