HC Deb 12 March 1906 vol 153 cc908-9
MR. REMNANT (Finsbury, Holborn)

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury, whether the Government proposes to ignore the unanimous recommendation of the London Traffic Commission in favour of a Traffic Board; and, if so, what are the reasons which have led them to adopt such a course.

(Answered by Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman.) The Government do not propose to ignore the recommendations of the London Traffic Commission, but they are not as yet in a position to express an opinion on the findings of this body; and, as I have already said, I cannot hold out any hope of legislation on the question during the present session.
