To ask the President of the Board of Trade at what dates the cereal year begins and ends; what were the duties on imported wheat per imperal quarter in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy respectively, during the cereal year 1904–5; what were the percentages of imported wheat in the total wheat supply of each of these countries during that period; and what were the average prices of wheat per imperial quarter in each of these countries during the same period.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) The cereal year for the four countries named in the Question begins approximately in the first week of September and ends in the last week of the following August.
