§ MR. LEWIS HASLAM (Monmouth Boroughs)To ask the President of the Local Government Board if he will state the number of poor law children emigrated to Canada during 1905.
(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) During the year 1905 the Local Government Board issued orders authorising expenditure by boards of guardians in respect of the emigration to Canada of 491 children.
