BEAUCHAMP (Suffolk, Lowestoft)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education whether it is proposed to discontinue the payment of the annual grant to elementary schools by quarterly instalments; whether any representations have been made by local education authorities against the proposal; and, if so, whether he will 95 consider the desirability of continuing the arrangement at present in force.
