HC Deb 05 March 1906 vol 153 cc62-3
MR. CHARLES CRAIG

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he is aware that a notice warning the people of the district to shun Martin Fahey for the future, stating that the next notice they would receive if they disregarded this ultimatum would be powder and ball, was posted on a wall at Bullaun, county Galway, on 14th January last; and whether the police have obtained any information as to the origin of the notice or as to the motive which prompted its publication.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The fact is correctly stated in the Question. The police have not succeeded in tracing the person who put up the notice; nor can I say what was his motive.
