HC Deb 26 June 1906 vol 159 cc767-8
MR. H. H. MARKS (Kent, Thanet)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has now received a report from His Majesty's Consul in Chicago of his inspection of the meat-packing establishments in that city; and whether the Report will be published.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir EDWARD GREY,) Northumberland, Berwick

A report has been received and is being sent to the Local Government Board for their information. It was sent by the Consul for the information of His Majesty's Government, but I am doubtful as to the desirability of publishing any report except one written by an expert specially qualified to do so.
