HC Deb 25 June 1906 vol 159 cc626-7
MR. WILLIAM REDMOND

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the fact that he was elected to the position by the majority of the magistrates, the Local Government Board will sanction the appointment of Mr. M'Keogh as petty sessions clerk of Killaloe.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) It has been ascertained that Mr. M'Keogh did not receive a majority of valid votes of the magistrates and the Lord-Lieutenant has therefore been unable to approve of the election. It will be necessary to hold a fresh election.
