SAMUEL ROBERTS (Sheffield, Ecclesall)I beg to ask the Prime Minister whether in view of the fact that the Government have been three times defeated on the Workmen's Compensation Amendment Bill in the Standing Committee on Law, he can inform the House what course the Government propose to adopt as to the future conduct of the measure.
§ SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMANI can really see no occasion for making any statement such as the hon. Member asks for. So far as I am aware, nothing has happened to prevent the Workmen's Compensation Bill coming up in due course for the Report stage, when any alterations made in the Standing Committee may be considered on their merits.
