*CAPTAIN FABER (Hampshire, Andover)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider the advisability of arranging that Army pensioners shall be paid weekly through the medium of post, office orders at local post offices; and making it a criminal offence for people, other than the pensioners themselves or 951 with their written permission, to apply for such pensions.
§ *MR. HALDANEThe whole question of the payment of pensioners is receiving careful consideration. As regards the last part of the Question, sufficient provision will be found in the existing Acts, viz., The Pensions and Yeomanry Pay Act, 1884, and the Army Act.
