HC Deb 12 June 1906 vol 158 c812
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will explain why the meat contract for the supply of the troops stationed at Aldershot and other barracks, in England, Ireland, and Scotland has been given to Armour and Company of America; and why homo produce is not provided as heretofore.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.} Nothing is known at the War Office of any contract for the supply of fresh meat to the troops in the United Kingdom held by Armour and Company of Chicago.
