HC Deb 11 June 1906 vol 158 c701
SIR W. EVANS GORDON

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether his attention has been called to the fact that upwards of thirty Frenchmen known to be Anarchists were recently expelled from France, and that, though the English police had notice of the arrival of these men, they were admitted at Newhaven without any examination upon their alleging that they were political refugees; whether such persons come under the terms of exemption granted under the Aliens Act; and whether the right of asylum in this country is to be extended to persons of this character.

*MR. GLADSTONE

The facts are not accurately stated in the Question, but I am making further inquiries into the matter.
