HC Deb 11 June 1906 vol 158 c689
MR. WILLIAM ABRAHAM (Cork County, N.E.)

To ask the Postmaster-General if he can state when a competitive examination for male learners, in accordance with the regulations, will be held in Mallow to fill up the vacancies at present existing in the local post office.

(Answered by Mr. Sidney Buxton.) There is an excess of learners in Ireland, and the number and distribution of the force are at present under revision. So far as can be judged, there will be no need for a competition at Mallow for some time to come.
