HC Deb 08 June 1906 vol 158 c619
MR. CHARLES HOBHOUSE (Bristol, E.)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the case of Joseph Hook, late of the 59th Regiment, who was discharged after twelve years' service, suffering from ill-health, and who, through ill-health and consequent inability to work, has become chargeable upon the poor rates; and whether he can see his way to grant him a special pension, either from the funds of Chelsea Hospital or from some other source.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) This case has already been fully considered. He is not eligible for the award of any pension.
