§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, having regard to the fact that a sum of £220 is placed on the Civil Service Supplementary Estimates under Class 7, for repayment to the Civil Contingencies Fund, in respect of special steamers and trains for conveyance of Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, will he state whether any of this expenditure was incurred when the late Government was in office; and, if so, how much.
§ MR. MCKENNAHalf this expenditure is in respect of the State Departure of the late Lord-Lieutenant and half in respect of the State entry of the present Lord-Lieutenant.
