CLAUDE HAY (Shoreditch, Hoxton)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the claims of British shipowners in respect of ships sunk in the course of the operations of the Russian Navy against the enemy during the war between Russia and Japan, have yet been settled; and if he will give the terms of the settlements.
§ MR. RUNCIMANNegotiations are still proceeding with the Russian Government in respect of these claims, but no settlement has yet been arrived at.
