MACKARNESS (Berks, Newbury)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is now in possession of information enabling him to say whether on Saturday the 7th July the house of a white man in the Rand district was attacked by Chinese and Kaffirs, the man robbed and injured and his wife outraged, dragged across the veldt, and again outraged; and whether the perpetrators of the alleged outrage have been arrested.
