§ MR. CLANCY (Dublin County, N.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will undertake to see that the printing of the manuscripts relating to Ireland on which the Historical Manuscripts Commission and the English Record Office are now engaged is done in Dublin.
(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) The printing of the publications of the Historical Manuscripts Commission and of the English Record Office is offered to tender in all parts of the United Kingdom. Recently the contract for certain of them, which relate mainly to English subjects, has been secured by a Dublin firm. It would hardly be to the advantage of Irish printers if the rule were established that the printing of such works must be executed in that part of the United Kingdom to which the subject matter relates.
