HC Deb 10 July 1906 vol 160 cc709-10
MR. MASSIE

To ask the Secretary for Scotland the number of children over fourteen years of age in Scotland who are attending the day schools aided from the Parliamentary Grant; and the proportion per 1,000 which those scholars bear to the total number of scholars attending those schools?

(Answered by Mr. Sinclair.) The number of children over fourteen years of age on the school registers for the statistical year 1904–5 was 22,815. This gives a proportion to the total number of 28.37 per 1,000.
