MR. DELANY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state how many members of the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society have been nominated by the department to membership of the Agricultural Council and Board of Agriculture, respectively; and whether he will say who was the founder of the Agricultural Organisation Society.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) I am informed that of the thirty-four members of the present Council of Agriculture nominated by the Department, eight are members of the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society, and that of the four members of the Agricultural Board nominated by the Department, three are members of the Society. The Society was founded by Sir Horace Plunkett.
