I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received a report of the inquiry, hold at Abbeyleix, Queen's County, during the week ending May 26th, into the truth or otherwise of certain allegations, made by the hon. Member for the Leix Division, against; Head Constable Spence; and whether he will communicate to the House the nature of the charges, and the results of the investigation.

An inquiry was held in reference to certain allegations regarding the conduct of Head-Constable Spence, and the result was to exonerate the Head Constable.
