HC Deb 03 July 1906 vol 159 c1597
MR. SILCOCK (Somersetshire, Wells)

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the salaries of officials in Macedonia have been paid to date and the deficit for the month of May been made good by the Porte as provided in the Réglement; and, if not, what steps will be taken by the Powers to insure such payment.

(Answered by Secretary Sir Edward Grey.) The Answer to the first and second parts of this Question is in the negative. In regard to the third part, the representatives of the Powers are urging the Porte to lose no time in finding the requisite money to make good the deficit on the Macedonian budget.
