HC Deb 03 July 1906 vol 159 c1599
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether he can give the number of Savings Bank depositors' accounts in Great Britain and Ireland respectively on which no transactions have taken place (beyond the recording of interest due), or deposit books forwarded for examination, for five, ten, fifteen, and twenty years respectively.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) The information for which the hon. Member asks could not be given without the expenditure of a very large amount of labour, which I do not think would be justified.
