HC Deb 02 July 1906 vol 159 c1371
MR. MORTON (Sutherland)

objected

COLONEL LOCKWOOD (Essex,Epping)

said that when the Bill was under discussion his name was mentioned as having given a certain undertaking. He did not reply at the time, as he did not wish to prolong the debate, but with the permission of the House he would now state that he had informed the railway companies of the views entertained by the hon. Member for Sutherland and others. The companies were fully alive to the importance of the questions involved, and were considering the question in all its aspects.

MR. MORTON

on this withdrew his objection.

Bill read a third time and passed.
