HC Deb 02 July 1906 vol 159 cc1398-9
MR. GLENDINNING (Antrim, N.)

; To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that damage is being done to the Rathlin Island fishing by steam trawlers trawling quite close to the island; and whether he will take any measures to prevent this practice being carried on in future?

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The Department of Agriculture have received no complaints on this subject, and are not aware that damage is being done. Should any facts be brought to their notice showing the necessity for investigation, they will deal promptly with the matter.
