§ MR. BROTHERTONI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies when it is anticipated that the constitution of the Orange River Colony will come into force.
§ MR. CHURCHILLIt is not possible to fix an approximate date at present; but His Majesty's Government would desire that the grant of responsible institutions to both the Transvaal and the Orange River Colony should be so far as possible simultaneous.
